The clergy were well and truly upstaged by Martha the don- key on their recent visit to the Parkway Centre. She was an absolute star and attracted the attention of scores of folk, both young and not so young. The weather was reasonably kind (it didn’t snow or rain!) for this out door outreach event. Several folk from St Cuthbert’s attended and supported Mike and Ben in letting passer-by know what was on at St Cuthbert’s during Holy Week. The Evening Gazette gave the event an added dimension and the resulting article in the March 25th issue was brilliant. Many thanks to Gazette reporter, Andrew Pain. Ben has set up a link on our Church’s website so you can watch a short video of the day. Just go to the picture of the donkey’s, Martha & Chestnut, and follow the link. We are most grateful to the Parkway Centre Management staff for allowing Mike, Ben and Martha to make use of the entrance area. Especial thanks to Jayne Donnelly, of Bankflow Farm Great Ayton, for preparing Martha for the event, for entrusting her to our clergy and for making it all possible. What is it about donkey’s?
